The Kline Korner...with Carol & Denny

It has been over 20 years since the big move from Baldwin to the sunny skies of South Florida.  So what have Carol and Denny been up to?  Well, quite a lot, according to cousin Denny.  Their 2 sons, Jonathan (36) and Evan (32) live nearby in South Florida.  They are blessed with 3 grandchildren:  Jacob (7), Matthew (2) and Chloe (8 months).

Jonathan is a department manager and in upper management training for Office Depot.  At present he is seeing a fine young lady (although she’s a Yankees fan) Christina who is going for her PHD.  Evan is a professional percussionist!  He had a music scholarship to University of Miami.  He teaches music at Cardinal Gibbons High School and also works for Resurrection Drums, the largest drum store in Florida.  To put in perspective the type of drummer he is, Evan has had offers to go on tour with Ricky Martin and Joss Stone.  Wow.

As for Carol, the grandmother of 3, she works for the Cleveland Clinic in Weston.  Denny works for Office Depot near his home, although he’s been on the “DL” recently having 2 bones removed in his hand. Denny admits he “missed his cousins” and enjoys “seeing everyone on Stecklow.com growing up, it’s wonderful". Denny also says “my brothers Arnold & Steve are lucky they get to see everyone in person.” If anyone would like to contact Denny directly, you can via email at ROADRAC163@aol.com.  He also has a web-cam if anyone has time, and is on Facebook and Myspace.

justin's Hall of Fame weekend!

By UM.  Recently (8-8 & 8-9) Grandma Judi and Poppa Marty took Justin on a trip for his Birthday Present.  First, on Saturday, we motored to Howes cavern where we took a tour and boat ride.  It was really cool underground in the Cavern (no pun intended).
We spent the night in a Motel where Justin went swimming, we had a Pizza feats in our room and then Justin and AJ went Bowling. Sunday we drove a short ride to Cooperstown where Justin ran around finding various items in a sort of a scavenger hunt, filling in the correct answers to questions asked on sheets given him by reception people.  After he found all the items and information he won 2 packs of baseball cards.  Justin wound up getting a real wood bat with his name engraved on it as a souvenir.  A great time was had by all.  On the way home the trio met up with Glen, Mindy and Mikaela in California Pizza who Justin and luggage went home with.

Siev Summer Vacation!

Story by Joel.  The Siev/Weinstein family recently returned from our trip to Israel.  The main purpose of the trip was cousin Bryan Krosser's Bar Mitzvah at Masada-it was an amazing experience. Other highlights included:
-Joshua had an aliyah at the Wall in honor of his Bar Mitzvah-coordinated by Uncle Mark.
-Seeing the entire Siev family in Israel, especially Aunt Chana who is getting better day by day.
 - Swimming in the beautiful waterfalls at Ein Gedi
  -Doing the zip-line and rappelling
-Floating in the Dead Sea, mud included
-Visiting with the Avner family-Ilan's father Shmuel was Abe's first cousin and we have stayed in close touch over
the years.  An amazing time was had by all-we left Alana on a Teen Tour in Israel and she has still been having an incredible time.
