On the field, the Mets dropped their third straight Stecklow.com
Bleacherfest, 7-6 in 12 innings to the San Fran Giants. But off the
field Stecklow.com raised almost $5,000 for Juvenile Diabetes Research, which
includes money raised from ticket sales, the every popular raffle and a $1,000
donation from the National Football League. Overall, the Mets fell to
2-4 all-time in Bleacherfests, but that did not have any negative effect on
the family and friends who attended. Once again, a great time was had by
all. Special thanks to cousin Joel & family for arranging the Ben's
Deli, Ellen for pulling off another spectacular raffle, Eric for bringing
Italian Ices, and cousin Wylie for the great idea of the first-ever
Stecklow.com Bleacherfest t-shirts, of which he personally donated half the
cost of the shirts. But Bleacherfest would be nothing without great
friends and family to share the day with, thanks to all for coming!
