Sunday June 3rd, 2007. Flushing, NY. On the field it was quick and ugly as the Mets dropped their 4th straight Bleacherfest 4-1 to the Arizona Diamonbacks. But off the field Bleacherfest 07 was once again a success. Despite unknown traffic and picnic area conditions due to construction of CitiField, over 100 family and friends showed up at Shea for the 7th annual stecklow.com tradition. And the real winner of the day was Juvenile Diabetes and Alzheimer's Research as over $3,000 was raised from this event. The National Football League confirmed it will match a $1,000 donation, bringing our grand total to $4,000!. Thanks again to Joel & Family for coordinating the food, Ellen for running a great raffle, and everyone for joining us for a special event.
