END OF AN ERA...

thomas stecklow

May 5, 1912 - march 23, 2008

It's hard to think of life without Papa Tommy, the rock of the family.  He leaves behind quite a legacy, 51 and counting.  He never entered a room unnoticed, from his early days, through his working years, on to his retired life and even beyond.  He traveled the world many times with his true love, our Nanny.  He taught us all the important value of family, and although  he had many grandchildren he made us all feel special individually.  He was a  person who touched many lives along his 95 years, 10 months and 11 days which lasted through 17 different US Presidencies.

While we are all saddened with the news on Papa Tommy, we will celebrate him and remember how lucky we were to have had him with us for such a long time.  He led an extraordinary life, and his spirit will live on in his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren for generations to come.

-Robert Stecklow, Grandson (#20 in family), member of Papa Tommy's Troops forever
